The way images are added to documents is almost the same in both the free and Pro versions of clearFusionCMS, the main difference is visual as each version has its own WYSIWYG editor.
We'll start by selecting a document to add an image to, so from the Dashboard select Documents then My Home Page, we created this during the Getting Started part of this user guide.
Next we click the location in the document to add the image, followed by the insert image icon. The insert image icon will look like one of the following examples highlighted in red.
Once you've clicked the insert image icon you'll be presented a dialog where you'll need to select Public File and then the upload option when it appears.
Next you will be able to select up to five files to upload from your computer, simply click Choose File and select the file on your computer to upload. Once all the files have been selected click the Upload button and wait while your web browser uploads the files for you.
Next select the image you want to insert into the document by clicking on it, it's address will appear in the Image Source box, enter an appropriate title for the image in the Title box and click insert.
The dialog will now close and you'll be returned to the document with the selected image inserted. If you need to edit the image simply click on it then click the image icon, you can now select a different image to replace the one already in the document or adjust the image.
Once you've clicked the insert image icon you'll be presented a dialog where you'll need click Browse Server.
Clicking Browse Server will produce a second dialog which will allow you to select the location to upload the image to and allow you to actually upload the image.
Select Public Files and the upload option when it appears, next you'll be able to select up to five files on your computer to upload. Once all the files have been selected click upload and wait for your browser to upload the files for you.
Now that the images have been uploaded you need to click on the image that you will be inserting into the document, when selected the image will show in the upload dialog and its web address will be placed into the URL field of the Image Properties dialog.
Complete the Alternative Text filed with appropriate information for the image.
Click Ok to close the dialog, you'll be returned to the document with the selected image inserted. If you need to edit the image simply click on it then click the image icon again, you can now select a different image to replace the one already in the document or adjust the image.
